International Students
Exchange Students
Mitcham Girls High School welcomes international students into the school community. We also welcome exchange students who wish to spend between one month and one year in our school. These exchanges are usually organised through various professional organisations like Southern Cross Cultural Exchange, Nacel, Rotary Clubs and Intercultural programs. It is a reciprocal program and some of our students go to Italy or France to improve their language skills and immerse themselves in the culture of the country. Given that it is a reciprocal program, exchange students are not required to pay school fees. They are required, however, to purchase items of uniform.
International Students
We also have international students who come for one or more years to receive the benefits of Australian schooling. Mitcham Girls High School is a welcoming environment for these girls and the small size of our international program allows students to focus on their English skills and mix well with the general student population. Regular meetings allow the International Student Program Manager to care for any special needs that may arise with our international students.
Students come to us from Denmark, France, Italy, Germany, Austria, Brazil, Korea, China and Japan and students from other countries are welcome. Potential students should be aware that all non Australian residents must go through International Education Services (IES) before approaching the school. For more information visit the .
