In Year 7, 8, 9 and 10, GifT Dance is offered to students who successfully audition for the program. Genres studied include jazz, contemporary, classical ballet, musical theatre and a cultural dance form. Students study theoretical topics including safe dance practice and anatomy, dance in historical and contemporary contexts and choreographic processes. Participation in performances is compulsory.
Please note that in years 7 – 8聽students studying GifT Dance will only do 1 semester of HPE (not 2 semesters). GifT Dance also counts as the students Arts elective.
